International oil pollution prevention certificate (IOPP) is applicable to oil tankers of all sizes and for non-oil tanker for vessel above 400 GRT

IOPP is subject to periodical surveys as follows:

Initial survey: at the beginning of the certification loop

Annual survey at the first, second, third and fourth anniversary date of the initial survey with a window of three mounts before or after

Intermediate survey as the middle of the survey loop but to be practicable it always replace the third annual survey

Renewal survey when IAPP certificate is expired

• SEGREGATION OF OIL AND WATER BALLAST AND CARRAGE OF OIL IN FUEL TANKS
• EQUIPMENT FOR CONTROL OF OIL DISCHARGE FROM MACHINERY SPACES BILGES
• SEGREGATED BALLAST TANKS
• DEDICATED CLEAN BALLAST TANK
• CRUDE OIL WASHING SYSTEM
• EXISTING OIL TANKERS HAVING SPECIAL BALLAST ARRANGEMENTS
• PREVENTION OF OIL POLLUTION IN THE EVENT OF COLLISION OR STRANDING
• RETENTION OF OIL ON BOARD
• PUMPS, PIPING AND DISCHARGE ARRANGEMENTS
• ARRANGEMENT OF CARGO TANKS
